New Years Thoughts

As we approach the end of 2004 and a hopefully great 2005, I think back to the good times and bad for the previous year. I think to the unfortunate victims of the Great Indian Ocean Earthquake. I think of the hurricanes that plagued the state of Florida and the long presidential election cycle. Those that have lost their lives fighting for our freedom and for peace are also in the back of my mind.

I think back on the passing of both my and my wife's paternal grandmothers, and the loss of my wife's early fall pregnancy to a miscarriage. But there were many happy times as well. We were able to spend time with family and friends throughout the year. We watched our children grow and blossom into the young people they are becoming, our oldest starting Kindergarten, and the early Christmas present of another pregnancy for my wife.

Even with the trials and tribulations of the past year, I still continue to grow more in love with my wife and family every passing day and am truly blessed in my life.

May 2005 bring much hope, peace, and happiness throughout the world.
